Lawyer of Krasnodar branch of “Team Against Torture”* questioned by law enforcers

After a search in the Krasnodar branch of the “Team Against Torture”*, law enforcers brought lawyer Ilya Platonov for questioning. According to the lawyer, he was questioned as a witness in a criminal case instituted in North Ossetia.

Employees of the Centre for Combating Extremism (also known as CCE) conducted a search at the office of the “Team Against Torture”* in Krasnodar. On April 28, searches took place at the office of the “Team Against Torture”* and at the homes of three lawyers of the human rights organization. The police explained the need for all the searches by the criminal case instituted in North Ossetia.

Ilya Platonov reported that the search “passed without any complaints.” The “Team Against Torture”* continues to work, follows from the videos posted on its Telegram channel.

*The “Team Against Torture” (formerly the “Committee Against Torture”) was created by lawyers who previously worked for the “Committee Against Torture” (CaT), which was included in the register of NCOs performing the functions of foreign agents.
