Pashinyan has filed lawsuits against opposition members for statements regarding the elections.

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has filed civil lawsuits against former special envoy ambassador Edmond Marukyan and former National Assembly deputy Sofia Ovsepyan. He demands an apology from Marukyan and compensation from Ovsepyan. Pashinyan considers Ovsepyan's claims that he knew the results of the parliamentary elections in advance to be defamatory.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan filed two lawsuits against the leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, Samvel Karapetyan, demanding a public refutation and compensation for moral damage. Pashinyan considers the statement that he has a house in Canada, as well as the use of hallucinogenic mushrooms, to be defamatory.

Pashinyan's lawsuit against Marukyan is being considered by Judge Anna Shiladyan of the Yerevan Civil Court. The Prime Minister demands that Marukyan publicly apologize on his Facebook page within five working days after the court's decision comes into force for a post dated June 9, 2026, which, according to the plaintiff, contains offensive statements against him.

The lawsuit against Ovsepyan is being considered by Judge Lilit Khachatryan of the Shirak region court. Pashinyan demands public apologies and a refutation of statements published on June 9 on the "Graparak" website and the publication's Facebook page from the former deputy. The Prime Minister considers Ovsepyan's claims that he knew the results of the parliamentary elections in advance and that the voting results were falsified to be defamatory. Pashinyan also demands an apology for Ovsepyan calling him a "scoundrel." Additionally, the Prime Minister requests 2 million drams in monetary compensation for non-material damage due to insult and 4 million drams for defamation. According to the lawsuit, the apologies and refutation must be published on the "Graparak" website and its Facebook page in a publicly accessible manner and without a time limit.

The "Prosperous Armenia" party of oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan, the "Armenia" bloc of former president Robert Kocharyan, and the "Strong Armenia" bloc of entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan were noted earlier by analysts as the most pro-Russian participants in the Armenian parliamentary elections.

According to the decision of the Central Election Commission, taking into account the mandates of national minorities, the "Civil Contract" has 64 mandates, while Karapetyan's bloc has 29, and the "Armenia" bloc received 12 mandates. The "Prosperous Armenia" party, according to the CEC's decision, failed to overcome the four percent barrier and enter the parliament.
