Kadyrov recalls pacifism of Chechen preacher Kishiev after calls to go to Ukraine

On the day of memory of preacher Kunta-Khadji Kishiev, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who regularly reports on sending volunteers to the special military operation and calls on religious figures to join it, has recalled the pacifist position of Kunta-Khadji Kishiev.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that since 2009, Chechnya marks the day of memory of Kunta-Khadji Kishiev on January 3.

Kunta-Khadji Kishiev was a Chechen Islamic mystic and preacher of the era of the Caucasian War. He is called the “Chechen Gandhi,” since he advocated non-resistance to evil by violence and passive resistance.

“He tirelessly called for peace, sincerely believing that people are capable of something more than endless strife and wars,” the leader of Chechnya emphasized on his Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, the authorities and religious leaders of Chechnya have repeatedly called the special military operation in Ukraine a jihad and called on Muslims to go to it. In particular, on October 25, Ramzan Kadyrov declared a jihad against “satanic democracy.”
