After Kadyrov's report on his kids at frontline, political analysts draw parallels with Stalin

The videos about the participation of Ramzan Kadyrov's children in hostilities in Ukraine is intended to touch upon primitive ideas about justice and masculinity, since Kadyrov's model of power, like the Stalin's one, rests on an attempt to rally people around some idea, Dmitry Oreshkin has pointed out. Kadyrov made recollect Stalin by reporting on his children's trip to the frontline, Alexei Malashenko has emphasized.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced that his three sons took part in the hostilities in the zone of the military operation. The Chechen state TV channel has posted a report showing Kadyrov's underage sons in a trench. Commentators doubted that the report was filmed during the battle on the frontline. Akhmed Dudaev, the head of the Chechen Ministry of Press, has explained that the video was compiled from several video clips.

Showing Kadyrov's kids on the frontline is a promotion strategy of "tough guys," Dmitry Oreshkin, a political analyst, has pointed out. He admitted that the filming was made in some safe trenches "away from hostilities."

"Kadyrov loves publicity; for such power models like the Kadyrov's or Stalin's ones, the leader's personal charisma is extremely important, as well as consolidating people around some idea," Mr Oreshkin has explained.

He has added that Kadyrov's stories about his family's exploits are important for his image: the man did not spare his children and sent them into battle.

The aim of the above videos is to promote participation in the military operation in Ukraine, Alexei Malashenko, an expert on the Caucasus, believes.

"We can draw parallels with Stalin, whose son fought in World War II and perished there," the expert has noted.

Residents of Chechnya should "stand in queues" and recruit up en masse as volunteers to participate in the special operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated earlier.

Sergey Zhavoronkov, a senior researcher at the Gaidar Institute, believes that the aim of the videos was to show Kadyrov as a direct participant in the military operation. According to his version, Kadyrov "is trying to portray that both he and his children are participating in the special military operation."
