A native of Dagestan discloses details of her kidnapping by relatives in Moscow

A brother and a sister of Aishat, a native of Dagestan, living in Moscow, insulted and humiliated her after the kidnapping, and her father voiced death threats.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 7, the “Fortress” crisis centre reported that 20-year-old Aishat, who was injured when her relatives were trying to return her home, stayed in a depressed state, and she was assigned the help of a psychologist. According to advocate Dmitry Zakhvatov, Aishat’s companion was also beaten, and that was confirmed by doctors.

At present, Aishat stays in a safe place, and a psychologist is working with her, the “Fortress” crisis centre reports in Yandex.Zen.

During the attempted kidnapping, the brother of the young woman forced her boyfriend into a car. Then he began to humiliate his sister and insult her by saying that she was “bad, leading a depraved lifestyle.” Moreover, passports and mobile phones were seized from the young woman and her companion.

The Aishat family has been living in Moscow since 2010. The young woman contacted the crisis centre back in October 2021 after she ran away, because her relatives controlled and tortured her. The “Fortress” crisis centre helped her with shelter, and the young woman found a job, but on February 4, her father and brother managed to track her down, and they started beating her, trying to kidnap her right in the street.

According to the young woman, her father said that his task was to kill her, “take her to Dagestan, and bury her there in order to wash away the shame from the family.”
