Examination states psychological trauma of mother of Ingush torture victim

The examination has found that the mother of Magomed Daliev, who died from torture in the Ingush police, has survived a psychological trauma because of the death of her son and suffered material damage in connection with the loss of the breadwinner.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, 2018, Magomed Daliev's mother filed a lawsuit against the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) claiming 15 million roubles in compensation for her suffered moral harm.

In October 2018, the court upheld the verdict to Timur Khamkhoev, the head of the Ingush "E" Centre, and his subordinates, convicted within the case of torturing detainees, in particular, the 50-year-old Magomed Daliev, who died on July 16, 2016.

The expert's conclusion states that the mother, Lemka Dalieva, had suffered a psychological trauma caused by the death of her son and suffered material damage due to the loss of a breadwinner, since Magomed Daliev was the eldest son who maintained his elderly parents.

Andrei Sabinin, an advocate, has noted that Daliev died from the hands of state officials within the walls of a state agency; therefore, the state should be responsible for the crime.
