In Germany, gay Eskerkhanov, who fled from Chechnya, seriously wounded

Movsar Eskerkhanov, who had apologized to Chechen authorities, was attacked in Germany.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Eskerkhanov, who had requested refugee status in Germany, on November 13, 2017, speaking on the Chechen television channel, asked for forgiveness from Chechen authorities, explaining that Western journalists had forced him to confess to his homosexuality in order to "disgrace Chechens." But in December 2017, Eskerkhanov stated that he had been forced to apologize to the Chechen leadership.

Now, Eskerkhanov is in grave condition in the hospital; he received several wounds in the stomach, said Igor Kochetkov, the head of the Russian LGBT Network.

"According to Movsar's acquaintances, a certain woman from Chechnya owes him money. On June 8, he quarrelled with her son, and the latter stabbed him several times," said Mr Kochetkov.
