"EcoWatch" leader Andrei Rudomakha hospitalized after attack

In Krasnodar, Andrei Rudomakha, a coordinator of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), was attacked. As a result, he was hospitalized.

On December 28, Andrei Rudomakha was attacked near a house of one of the ecologists in Krasnodar. Three unidentified persons sprayed pepper gas to the man's face, and Andrei Rudomakha was severely beaten.

According to the preliminary information, Andrei Rudomakha has got a traumatic brain injury and a broken nose.

The activist reported that the attackers stole from a car the backpacks with equipment, laptops, photo and video cameras, as well as documents.

The ecologists were attacked after they returned from the inspection of the Black Sea coast, the "Yugopolis" reports with reference to Arina Lisovets, an activist of the "EcoWatch".

Besides, activist Victor Chirikov was also injured, when the unidentified attackers struck him to his stomach, the "Yugopolis" reports.
