Many facts remain hidden in case of Boris Nemtsov's murder, advocates assert

The motive for the Boris Nemtsov's murder has not been revealed, and the case contains no objective evidence of any version voiced by investigators. In the course of the debate, advocates have claimed there are a lot of hidden circumstances in the case.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015, in Moscow. The defendants in the case are the natives of Chechnya and Ingushetia Zaur Dadaev, the brothers Anzor and Shagid (also named by mass media as Shadid) Gubashev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Khamzat Bakhaev. Investigators believe that Ruslan Mukhudinov was the customer of the murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 31, the Moscow District Military Court announced the investigation in the case to be completed. On June 1, a public prosecutor found the defendants' guilt to be proven and asked the jury to pronounce a verdict of guilty.

In his speech delivered during the debates on June 7, advocate Artyom Sarbashev drew attention of the court to the fact that the court did not consider any video records from the place of the murder.

"All events took place at the most important strategic object of the city, and it is hard to believe that video cameras were not switched on at such an object... The faces of the criminals were hidden from us," said the advocate.

Artyom Sarbashev has pointed to the discrepancies in the confessions of Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadaev, the video records of which were published on the Internet on the websites of the "Novaya Gazeta" and "Kommersant".

"Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadaev describe the events differently, and although their interrogations took place less than a month after the events, they indicated different places of meetings," noted the advocate.

"It looks like throughout the whole investigation, some film director sorts the facts and adjusts the circumstances to the facts known to him. It looks like that," Artyom Sarbashev believes.

According to the advocate, the motive of the crime has also been not revealed. "There is no objective evidence of any version of the investigators," the defender said.
