Ibragim Gadjiev, a witness in a case against Ashikov brothers, filed a lawsuit to the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala. Ibragim Gadjiev requested the Court to declare unjustified the actions of law enforcers during a search in his house. The man also requested compensation for moral damage in the amount of one million roubles to be collected from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The Zheleznovodsk City Court recognized Tagir Galaev as a participant of an attack on law enforcers in the course of a rally in Magas and sentenced him to seven months of imprisonment. At the same time, taking into account the period of time spent by Tagir Galaev in custody, the Court pronounced a decision to release the defendant at the courtroom, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) “Memorial”* reports today.

An influx of tourists is expected to the Tulip Festival scheduled in the Tselinny District of Kalmykia; all the tickets for the cruise train from Moscow have been sold out; and hotel rooms have been booked, the organizers report. The workers engaged in the demolition of dilapidated houses in Nalchik have damaged the nearby house owned by Tamara Tlevasova, a local resident. The house was deliberately damaged in order to later recognize it as an emergency structure and alienate the land plot, Tamara has stated in her complaint addressed to the Public Prosecutor of Kabardino-Balkaria.

Law enforcers would not allow Murad Manapov, the detained employee of the Navalny's office in Makhachkala, to contact his family and an advocate, and forced him, under pressure, to sign the protocol, the activist said after his release. Manapov intends to appeal against his detention and arrest.
