Teachers of the college in Kaspiysk achieved the payment of their wage debt.

The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan reported that after the video appeal from the employees of the Energy College in Kaspiysk, they were paid a wage debt of more than 15 million rubles.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", teachers of the Energy College in Kaspiysk have not received their salaries since February due to which they are forced to take loans and borrow money to feed their families, stated the authors of the collective video appeal to the acting head of Dagestan, Fyodor Shchukin. They noted that they had sent complaints to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic, the Investigative Committee, and the Prosecutor's Office, but this did not yield results.

The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan established that there was a wage debt of more than 15 million rubles owed to 68 employees of the Energy College. In addition, a fact of concealing information about overdue debts from official statistical accounting was revealed, the press service of the regional supervisory agency reported today on its Telegram channel.

In this regard, the prosecutor submitted a presentation to the director of the educational organization and also initiated cases of administrative offenses for non-payment of wages within the established time frame and for not providing primary statistical data.

As a result of the measures taken, the debt was fully repaid. In addition, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit in court to compel the employer to pay the college employees compensation for the delayed payment of wages.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in Dagestan, educators periodically complain about problems with salary payments. For instance, on December 7, 2023, teachers from the Gumbetovsky, Gunibsky, Novolaksky, and Khasavyurt districts, as well as from Makhachkala, complained that they had not received their salary for November. The head of the Dagestan government intervened in the situation, instructing local authorities to settle the debt.
