The increase in the maximum growth of utility fees has caused dissatisfaction among the residents of Kuban.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 1, residents of Kuban, commenting on the announcement of an increase in utility fees from October 1 by 9.6%, pointed to the low quality of utility services and the lack of comparable salary indexing.

The Russian government, by order No. 2633-r dated September 24, increased the average index of changes in utility fees for the Krasnodar region from 9.6% to 13.7%. The document was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, reported the Krasnodar portal "City" on September 27.

The telegram channel "Tupodar Krasnodar", which has about 56.8 thousand subscribers, also published a post about this on September 27. As of 08:50 Moscow time on September 28, this post received 310 user reactions and 191 comments.

Users identifying themselves as residents of Kuban expressed dissatisfaction with the increase in utility payments and compared it to their incomes and inflation. "By 2029, it will increase by 42%. I wonder how my income will grow. If I don't write in 2029, it means I didn't have enough money to charge my phone," sarcastically noted Dmitry Mitkovskikh.

"It's unclear. We have an official inflation rate on which social payments are indexed. What are these rates based on? Do they want to say that we are being deceived and inflation is higher?" asked Kaliff.

"Finally, new levies. We were really waiting for this, as life was getting too easy," noted Alexey.

Other participants in the discussion doubted that the increase in payments would lead to an improvement in the quality of utility services and infrastructure. "So the quality of services, I understand, will deteriorate by 1.4 times?" asked Kat.

"According to official data, the wear and tear of utility networks in Krasnodar is 60-65%. Even the increased tariffs won't help in the fight against rusty water from the tap or cold radiators in winter. A large-scale state investment program for the modernization of utility networks is needed," pointed out Vadim Kolosov.

"So instead of raising utility fees, they should raise taxes on a state scale, and in the end, who will pay for everything?" asked Aine.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of the Krasnodar region regularly complain about charges for utility services and the work of utility services. For instance, on September 18, residents of the Krasnodar microdistrict "German Village" complained about the "Water Canal" demanding more than 100,000 rubles from an apartment for allegedly unauthorized use of the sewage system.

On June 20, Krasnodar residents complained that they were forced to pump out water themselves after utility services did not respond to their requests.
