A state of emergency has been introduced in Kuban due to problems with grain sales.

Due to attacks on logistics infrastructure and the shutdown of ports, farmers are unable to sell significant volumes of products. This has led to a buildup of grain and an oversaturation of the domestic market, which is why a state of emergency has been declared in the Krasnodar region.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the suspension of grain terminal operations in Novorossiysk after drone attacks will lead to a significant reduction in grain exports and increase the risks of bankruptcy for agricultural producers amid constantly falling grain prices, analysts noted. The operator of the grain terminal KSK in Novorossiysk announced the suspension of operational activities. Earlier, two other terminals located in the Novorossiysk port suspended operations.

A state of emergency has been introduced in Kuban due to the attacks. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.

The regional Ministry of Agriculture has been tasked with organizing continuous monitoring and forecasting of the situation's development, assessing its socio-economic consequences, collecting and exchanging information about the situation in the emergency zone and the progress of its elimination. The agency must also inform agricultural producers about the emergency situation, its parameters, scale, and the measures being taken.

Heads of municipal districts, municipal and urban districts of the region are recommended to conduct similar monitoring and inform agricultural producers about the situation and measures for its elimination.

The order came into effect on September 23 — from the day of signing, reports "Kommersant" today.
