Russians living in Armenia stood in line at the polling station in Yerevan.

To get to the polling station at the Russian embassy in Armenia, Russians had to stand in a long line, with nearly 3,800 people voting in total. Voting also took place at the airbase in Erebuni and the military base in Gyumri.

Just under 4,000 people participated in the voting for the State Duma elections of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation at the polling station in the Russian embassy in Yerevan. "Voting at the embassy has ended - 3,793 people voted," Yerevan Today quotes the words of the press service of the diplomatic mission.

Polling station No. 8026 has completed its work. Another 996 people exercised their voting rights at the Erebuni airbase in Yerevan.

According to the Russian embassy in Yerevan, the voting process was conducted in full compliance with Russian legislation, and the members of the electoral commission began the final counting of votes.

People stood in line at the Russian embassy in Yerevan until the evening. Due to the influx of those wishing to vote using paper ballots, long queues formed: those who arrived by noon only reached the ballot box by evening, writes the project "We Can Explain".

Red and green apples became a symbol of protest in the queue, which volunteers offered to everyone. The same volunteers distributed Armenian apricots, candies, chocolates, and water.

At the same time, a protest action was taking place - those gathered held both posters condemning the policies of the Russian authorities and slogans against mobilization.

The Russian ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin, reported that during the organized voting in Yerevan and Gyumri for Russian citizens in the State Duma elections, no emergency situations have been recorded, TASS reports.
