A resident of Makhachkala Bagaudin told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" that he went to vote around noon, and at that time, there was only one other voter at the polling station besides him.

"As soon as I was free, I came to the polling station, it was empty around, one person voted before me. My brother voted at another polling station and said it was empty," said the Makhachkala resident.

"I work as a waitress in a cafe, I have a working day, I have no time to go to the polling station. Many of my acquaintances also did not go to the elections," she said.

Salim said he went to vote around 3 PM, and there were three people at the polling station.

"As a form of protest, elections in Dagestan are no longer considered, as there is simply no one to vote for," the man said, adding that he was not aware of the initiative "Noon for a Peaceful Russia."

A pensioner Kurban did not go to the elections. He told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" that he does not see worthy candidates for whom he could cast his vote.

"There used to be a real election struggle, candidates voiced their programs, promised people something. Now there is complete silence," he said.

About the empty polling stations in Makhachkala wrote in his Telegram channel a member of the movement "Our City" Saida Ninalalov.

"There are polling stations, there are observers, but where are the voters? Where are our 146%? Where is the million-strong Makhachkala?" asked the public figure.
