A resident of Makhachkala is accused of calls for terrorism.

For publishing a video in which law enforcement saw justification for terrorism and calls for terrorist activity, a resident of Makhachkala faces up to seven years in prison.

The case of a resident of the Lenin district of Makhachkala, accused of publicly justifying terrorism via the internet (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code provides for imprisonment of five to seven years), has been transferred to the prosecutor and will be sent to court, the Investigative Committee of Dagestan reported today.

According to the investigation, in February 2025, the woman published a certain video on her social media page. It allegedly contained public calls for terrorist activity, as well as statements aimed at justifying the ideology and practice of terrorism, according to law enforcement.

"The materials posted contained psychological and linguistic signs of incitement to commit terrorist activities, as well as a positive assessment of the ideology and actions of an international terrorist organization," the agency's Telegram channel reported.

Investigators did not disclose the age, occupation, or other personal details of the accused and did not specify what preventive measure was chosen for her. The report also did not indicate whether the Makhachkala resident agreed with the charges.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a military court in Rostov-on-Don has been considering the case of a resident of the village of Kiyankiz in the Andropov district since August, accused of publicly justifying terrorism due to a comment in a messenger. According to the prosecution's version, the woman, holding radical-extremist views, in April 2025 justified the attacks of Ukrainian drones on the city of Chapayevsk in the Samara region.
