A fighter from Dagestan was killed in the special military operation zone.

Musayib Sultanov from the Tabasaransky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have acknowledged at least 2115 military personnel from Dagestan killed there.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 15, officials and law enforcement agencies named the names of at least 2114 combatants from Dagestan killed in the combat zone in Ukraine and near the border.

A memorial plaque was installed at the Khustil school in the Tabasaransky district for graduate Musayib Sultanov, who was killed in the special military operation zone, reported the head of the district, Magomed Kurbanov, on his Telegram channel.

Musayib Sultanov was 38 years old. After graduating from school, he served his mandatory military service in the Far East, on the Kuril Islands. Later, he served under contract in military units stationed in the Chechen Republic and North Ossetia.

He served as a sniper in a motorized rifle unit during the special military operation. He was killed in July of this year. He was awarded the Order of Courage. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Thus, at least 2115 military personnel from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

Earlier, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported that Ramazan Abdurakhmanov was killed in the military operation.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among the authorities to announce that a Russian soldier had been killed in Ukraine, acknowledging the death of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.
