A contractor from Uryupinsk was killed in the military operation.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 25, at least 1830 fighters from the Volgograd region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

In the military operation, contract soldier Evgeny Demkin was killed, the Uryupinsk administration reported on September 10 in its Telegram channel.

"Evgeny was born and raised in Uryupinsk. He studied at secondary school No. 3 and Uryupinsk College of Business. Evgeny signed a contract and went to the special operation zone... He died while performing tasks during the special military operation on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. The warrior was 33 years old. He is survived by his parents," the publication states.

Thus, at least 1831 fighters from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
