Volgograd drivers are allowed not to wear seat belts while waiting at gas stations.

The State Traffic Inspectorate in the Volgograd region will not fine drivers who do not wear seat belts while waiting at gas stations; such rulings based on violations recorded by cameras will be canceled upon request.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" surveyed Volgograd drivers on August 31, who complained that problems with fuel availability in the region continue. The survey was not representative and reflects only the private opinions of those surveyed.

The administrative fine imposed on a driver for violating seat belt rules, recorded while the motorist was in line for refueling, will be canceled, said Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, on her Telegram channel.

In the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the leadership of the State Traffic Inspectorate has decided not to hold drivers administratively liable in similar situations. Given the insignificance of the violation, the already imposed fine will soon be canceled.

Furthermore, if citizens who have rulings regarding similar violations recorded by photo and video cameras in the Volgograd region appeal, these rulings will also be annulled.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Volzhsky court fined activist and lawyer Alexey Sevastyanov 10,000 rubles for participating in a video appeal to Alexander Bastrykin regarding the fuel situation in the region. Earlier, Natalia Kuzmina was fined 20,000 rubles in the same case, while Natalia Oglobina and Tatyana Smetanko were each fined 10,000 rubles.
