A fighter from Dagestan was killed in the military operation zone.

Izzyet Agasiev from the Tabasaransky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 2086 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by August 27, officials and security forces officially named the names of at least 2085 killed fighters from Dagestan in Ukraine.

A memorial plaque was unveiled at the Arkitskaya secondary school for graduate Izzyet Agasiev, who was killed during the special military operation, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported on its Telegram channel.

Izzyet Agasiev was born in 1966 in a large family in the village of Arkit. In 1983, he graduated from school, then studied at the Derbent Agricultural College. He served in the Soviet Army. After demobilization, he completed his studies at the college, then engaged in business, worked at "RusHydro" and as a supply officer at the Derbent branch of the Moscow Institute of Economics.

In 2023, he voluntarily went to the SVO zone, fought in the Lugansk direction. He was killed in September 2025. He was buried in his native village. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

At least 4773 fighters from the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and 4832 fighters from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed during the special military operation in Ukraine.

Thus, at least 2086 combatants from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. Earlier, the administration of the Tabasaransky district reported that in the special military operation killed Anver Agaev, Nizami Magomedov, Arafat Aslanov, and Abdulkerim Ramazanov.
