The desecration of a military memorial in Sochi has led to a criminal case.

The investigative department for the Khostinsky district has initiated a criminal case for the desecration of memorial structures. The suspect is a girl who urinated at the monument to the tankers who fell on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.

Information was published on social media that in Sochi, a girl, while on the land adjacent to the monument commemorating those who died defending the Fatherland during the Great Patriotic War, committed illegal actions, thereby desecrating it.

In this regard, the investigative department for the Khostinsky district of Sochi has promptly initiated a criminal case on the grounds of desecration of memorial structures. The article provides for up to five years of imprisonment, reports the Investigative Committee of the Krasnodar Territory on its Telegram channel.

"Necessary investigative actions and operational-search activities are being conducted in the criminal case, aimed at locating the person who committed the illegal actions," the agency's message states.

Earlier, the Sochi police reported that they are searching for the girl who desecrated the monument to the fallen tankers during the Great Patriotic War.

"During monitoring of the Internet, police officers discovered a publication stating that on 50 years of the USSR street, a girl urinated directly on the monument to the fallen tankers during the Great Patriotic War," the message from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region states on its Telegram channel.

The monument to the tankers was installed by enthusiasts of the search squad "Podvig". The exhibition includes a rare "locomotive-type" roller from the T-34 tank that participated in the Battle of Stalingrad. It was found by searchers near Volgograd. Among the fragments and parts of the tank destroyed by an explosion, human remains were discovered. The 200-kilogram roller was extracted from the ground with great difficulty and delivered to Sochi, informs the publication "Sochi online".

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in early May, a 30-year-old citizen of Ukraine was detained in the Krasnodar Territory for desecrating 14 burials of participants in the special military operation.
