Residents of North Ossetia criticized officials after the artists' video appeal to Bastrykin.

The authorities of North Ossetia must provide a workspace for a group of honored artists who were forced to record a video appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee, complaining about their eviction from the workshop, residents of the republic indicated on social media.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, artists from North Ossetia recorded a video appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, complaining about their eviction from the workshop on Kirova Street in Vladikavkaz. According to them, the legal disputes over the right to use it have lasted for 13 years.

The artists' video appeal was published by the Instagram* public chp___vladikavkaz. The footage shows the workshop, with many paintings hanging on the walls, and several people present in the room.

A woman reads the text of the appeal. She emphasized that such honored artists of Russia, North Ossetia, and South Ossetia as Shalva Bedoev, Magrez Kelekhsaev, Murat Djikaev, and Elbrus Tsogoev work in the workshop. "We ask to protect our legal interests, otherwise the honored artists face eviction to the street," she said.

As of 06:55 MSK on August 17, this video in the Instagram* public chp___vladikavkaz, which has about 188 thousand followers, received 181 likes and 33 comments.

Commentators criticized the authorities of North Ossetia for the fact that the artists had to appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee. "It's a shame that they have to knock on Bastrykin's door! And local authorities can't help," wrote art_dzera_leo.

"If our authorities can't solve this problem, what else can we ask for? Horrible," noted irma_magaeva.
