Residents of the dilapidated house in Nalchik demanded resettlement.

Cracks in the walls of the emergency house in Nalchik are increasing, and the risk of its collapse is rising, while officials have once again postponed the resettlement deadlines, residents of the house complained.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", residents of emergency houses in Nalchik periodically demand to expedite their resettlement. Thus, on June 18 it became known that the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded a report on the delays in resettling residents of the emergency dormitory on Ingush Street. The residents of the dormitory expressed hope that Bastrykin's intervention would expedite their relocation to improved apartments.

The complaint from the residents of the dilapidated house in Nalchik was published by the Instagram*-public goloskbr. The author of the appeal reported that the cracks in the wall are increasing, and children live in the house. According to her, the residents are waiting for an independent examination, but fear that the wall may collapse and injure people.

"The wall in our house is literally "creeping": the cracks get wider every day. They say it is not load-bearing, but does that cancel the threat? There are children living in the house, and every time I walk past, I fear for their safety," the publication states.

The Nalchik resident also complained about the repeated changes in the order of resettlement. According to her, residents were first moved from the second stage of the program to the third, and then to the sixth.

This post in the Instagram*-public goloskbr, which has about 190 thousand users, had received 246 likes and 44 comments by 06:30 MSK on August 12.

Commenters called the living conditions in the house dangerous and supported the residents' demand for resettlement. "How sad it is. I wish the residents of the house could achieve justice," wrote asyana_07.

"It's the 21st century, and there are still people living in inhumane conditions," noted _salma_dyshevno.

"Until this house collapses on the heads of the residents, the department, the administration, and all responsible persons will do nothing," suggested broeva0509.

Some users criticized the officials and the allocation of budget funds. "The head and officials should be ashamed that people live in such decline. I thought this was no longer the case," wrote 2306luda.

"Who postponed? Who is responsible for this?" asked 1abrek1, commenting on the change in the order of resettlement.

Other commenters urged to publicize the complaint and contact the leadership of the republic. "Please spread the word," requested nalshik_ru.

"You need to contact the head of the republic. He will monitor everything and help you," advised 170aslan.

At the same time, some users placed the responsibility for the condition of the building on the residents themselves. "Open a communal account and do it yourselves; otherwise, they won't do anything," suggested kabardokovaliliia.

"Let the residents not just wait but also put in effort themselves," wrote 324albert_07.

"They received this housing for free 40 years ago in more or less decent condition. Couldn't they have done some cosmetic repairs, plastered, painted, or done something during this time?" asked marusyagilli.

As of 06:30 MSK on August 12, there are no comments regarding the complaint from the residents of the dilapidated house on the website of the Nalchik administration.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that emergency dormitories on Musukaev and Ingush streets in Nalchik have been included in the municipal targeted resettlement program since 2022, which as of February 2026 has not been funded for a year. Residents of these houses have asked officials to expedite resettlement, complaining about difficult living conditions.
