The criminal case of the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, Sergey Simonenko, accused of organizing preparation for murder, will be considered with the participation of jurors.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in mid-May, the court in Rostov-on-Don accepted for consideration the case of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Kuban, Sergey Simonenko, and his subordinate, accused of attempted murders. On June 10, Simonenko's arrest was extended.

The Proletarian District Court of Rostov-on-Don began considering the criminal case of the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, Sergey Simonenko; the case will be heard with the participation of jurors, TASS reports on August 11.

According to a source in the court, the process will take place in a closed format, and the selection of jurors is already underway.

In the fall of 2024, Sergey Simonenko was accused of organizing arson of cars belonging to the family of his former subordinate, as well as of attempting to kill him. According to the investigation, Simonenko acted as the organizer of two murder attempts, while the former head of the North District Emergency Situations Department, Melko Djemo, was an accomplice.
