The accused of preparing an explosion near the Pyatigorsk prosecutor's office has been arrested.

The court in Stavropol sent a man to pre-trial detention, who was detained by FSB officers on charges of preparing a terrorist attack in Pyatigorsk.

"Caucasian Knot" reported that the FSB reported today about the detention of a native of Central Asia, who planned to blow up the prosecutor's office building in Pyatigorsk and then leave for Syria to join the militants.

The Lenin District Court of Stavropol has remanded a man accused of preparing a terrorist act at the prosecutor's office building in Pyatigorsk.

The detainee, whom the security forces consider a supporter of a banned terrorist organization in Russia, has been sent to pre-trial detention for two months, until September 28, the unified press service of the regional courts reported on its Telegram channel.

The Governor of Stavropol Krai, Vladimir Vladimirov, thanked the FSB officers for preventing the terrorist attack at the prosecutor's office in Pyatigorsk.

“The professional work of the security forces allowed for the detention of a supporter of an international terrorist organization, who planned to carry out an explosion at the prosecutor's office building. The hostile plan has been thwarted,” the official wrote on his channel.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that a month ago, on July 3, the FSB reported another prevented terrorist attack in Pyatigorsk. A native of Central Asia, on the instructions of a curator from Syria, planned to carry out an explosion at the railway station, the security forces claimed.
