"Last night in the waters of the Black Sea, 130 miles from the city of Novorossiysk, the cargo ship 'Yarina', owned by FESCO, was damaged and sank as a result of an attack by combat naval drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the state corporation stated.

The General Director of "Rosatom", Alexey Likhachev, noted that the UAVs attacked the vessel despite it only carrying civilian goods.

"It was a completely ordinary civilian container ship, sailing in international waters and carrying civilian products — from frozen foods to construction and finishing materials," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, all 17 crew members were rescued and are feeling satisfactory. They were brought to shore thanks to the efforts of the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Krasnodar region is regularly subjected to drone attacks. Thus, on July 30, as a result of a drone attack, six people were injured in the village of Volna in the Temryuk district. On July 26, debris from drones fell in the village of Raevskaya, damaging a private house. On July 23, during a drone attack on a Wildberries warehouse in Krasnodar, a girl was injured, and later she died in the hospital.
