Protesters in Georgia demanded changes to the country's policy for the 609th consecutive day.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on the 608th day of daily protests, participants of the rally in front of the Georgian parliament expressed their protest against the unfair trial of activists detained in Tbilisi for obscene posters about Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Activists demanding the release of political prisoners and a return to a pro-European political course gathered today on Rustaveli Avenue for the 609th evening in a row, reports Publika.

They are also seeking the abolition of repressive mechanisms and the conduct of elections in a free and fair environment.

Activists came to the rally with flags of Georgia, the European Union, and Ukraine, as seen in the photos attached to the publication.

From the images posted by photographer Georgy Mosiashvili (Mo Se) on Facebook*, it appears that the atmosphere was calm, many people held flags and placards, and many simply sat on the steps of the Georgian parliament, chatting with acquaintances.

Protest participants in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces have conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
