Evacuated residents of the high-rise building in Taganrog are prohibited from returning to their apartments.

Residents of most houses affected by the aftermath of the night airstrike in Taganrog have been allowed to return home. However, the inspection of the apartment building hit by the missiles will continue for several more days, and residents remain with their relatives.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 29, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, announced that as a result of missile debris falling on a residential apartment building, a woman was killed, and a man was also injured.

The head of Taganrog, Svetlana Kamburova, reported today that the sappers have completed their work at the emergency site. Residents of the houses that were in the emergency zone and were evacuated can return, as reported by "Interfax".

"Traffic has been fully restored. Damage assessment commission specialists are conducting door-to-door inspections. As of now, the 112 service has received 17 calls from private homeowners. Of these, 14 houses have already been inspected. Work continues," Kamburova reported.

Currently, specialists have begun inspecting the technical condition of the affected apartment building, and the work will take several days.

"All residents of the apartment building have decided to temporarily stay with relatives. Currently, specialists have begun conducting a selective visual inspection of the building's technical condition. We need to understand exactly: is it safe for people to return to their apartments and what will happen next with their building. This work will take several days," the official added.

All emergency services continue to operate at the emergency site, the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, wrote today in his Telegram channel.

"Currently, there are 52 people in the temporary accommodation center, including 8 children. The area is cordoned off, and specialists are carrying out necessary measures to ensure the safety of residents. After all work is completed, the affected building will be inspected by experts to determine the possibility of further habitation," he stated.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on the night of July 27, drones attacked the Rostov region. Authorities previously reported that two people were killed and eight were injured, one of whom is in serious condition with significant burns and fractures. Residents of three damaged apartment buildings were evacuated, and 56 people are in the temporary accommodation center. It was later reported that five people died, including a child.
