Chegem residents pointed out the unresolved issue of water supply to the authorities.

Chegem residents reported that their homes have been without water for several days, despite having complained about interruptions in supply a month ago. They noted that appeals to the authorities and relevant services have not yielded results.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on June 22, a resident of Chegem complained on social media that many streets regularly remain without water supply in the summer. Other residents supported his demand for the authorities to resolve the water supply issue, suggesting that it is related to the use of water for irrigation.

The Instagram* public page goloskbr published complaints from residents of Nartan and Chegem about water supply issues. Residents of Nartan complained that the problem of water scarcity has been relevant in their locality for a long time.

"In this heat, residents of Kirov Street have been without water for the third day. This problem repeats every year. Can't it be solved? Where is the water and why is it missing?" – stated in a post published in the public today.

Chegem residents noted that they had approached officials and relevant services regarding the reasons for the lack of water but received no response. No one answered their phone calls either. "This is a deliberate mockery of an entire city. People have been without water for two days," – stated in a post published in the public on July 21.

Both publications had gathered 79 comments by 10:55 AM MSK on July 25.

Commenters pointed out that during prolonged shutdowns, it is necessary to organize water delivery and to warn residents in advance about repair work.

"We have been without water in Chegem for a month, and complaints do not help, and the prosecutor's office is silent," – noted user ogro_1978.

"In other cities, when the water is shut off, they organize water delivery and inform residents in advance about repair work," – wrote asimamik.

"We understand everything, but water delivery can be organized in this heat," – pointed out elmiraverdish.

Some users reported that water supply interruptions in Chegem have been occurring regularly for several years.

"I have lived in Chegem since birth, I swear. As long as I can remember, we have always struggled with water, especially in the summer. It was terrible. How is this possible? Why is this problem not being solved?" – wrote user raa86489.

"Every year it’s the same, nothing changes," – emphasized user b___e_____a.

"That’s right, and for the third year in a row, they have an emergency situation every Saturday. Why not on Monday or Wednesday? It’s consistently every Saturday," – complained user zalizali071.

Discussion participants noted the difficulties families with infants, elderly people, and many children face during water shutdowns.

"Can you explain to an infant that they are trying for them? To be patient," – asked marisha_china_shop.

"I can’t imagine how families with many children or elderly people cope," – pointed out user larin70laris.

Some commenters linked the water shortage to garden irrigation.

Along with the lack of water, users reported regular power and gas outages. Residents of other localities in Kabardino-Balkaria, including Zalukokoazhe, Yanikoya, and Baksana, reported similar problems.
