Kochiev was born in 1999, served in the OMON of South Ossetia before the start of the special military operation, and was awarded various honors, including the "Order of Courage". In April 2025, he went on a mission and did not return. He was considered missing for over a year. He was posthumously awarded the medal "Defender of the Fatherland".

Thus, at least 99 fighters from South Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
