Another shipment of grain has been sent to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan.

976 tons of wheat from Russia have been sent to Armenia via the territory of Azerbaijan.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on June 29, 770 tons of wheat from Russia were sent to Armenia via the territory of Azerbaijan.

Another shipment from Russia to Armenia has been made via the territory of Azerbaijan. Today, 14 wagons with wheat weighing 976 tons were sent from the Baladzhary station towards Bёyuk-Kesik, writes Apa.Az.

To date, more than 35 thousand tons of grain, about 8 thousand tons of fertilizers, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite have been sent from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

In addition, to date, more than 14 thousand tons of diesel fuel, about 5 thousand tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported from Azerbaijan to Armenia, the agency reports.

Recall that in October 2025, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia. In early November 2025, a shipment of Russian grain arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan for the first time since the 1990s. The Armenian authorities stated that this fulfilled one of the agreements reached in the USA, contributing to strengthening peace between Yerevan and Baku.

On February 4, Aliyev and Pashinyan discussed the initiated economic cooperation at a meeting in the UAE and agreed to look for opportunities to expand trade. Although trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is mutually beneficial, in the near future it will be limited, Baku analysts believe.
