At least 12 people were injured in armed and terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus from April 1 to June 30, 2026. 4 killed and 8 wounded. This is the result of calculations by the "Caucasian Knot," based on its own materials and information from open sources.

On April 10, it became known about the death of two people after being questioned by security forces as witnesses in the case of a shootout in the village of Nizhny Djengutai at the end of March – an elderly man died, and a young man who was at the scene of the shootout committed suicide. According to analysts, the shootout was caused by a domestic conflict that was intervened by police officers. At the same time, experts do not rule out that the shooting could have been provoked by the unprofessional actions of the security forces.

On April 23, a man with a knife seriously injured two doctors in the emergency department of the Republican Clinical Hospital in Makhachkala. The attacker wounded the on-duty traumatologist and surgeon with a knife and was detained. He was arrested for two months.

No victims were recorded in May.

On June 20, one woman died, and four people were injured as a result of an attack by a young man on the West Mall shopping center in Krasnodar. One of the victims, a security guard, is in serious condition. According to eyewitnesses, he ran into the shopping center and began looking for someone. When a security guard approached him, he stabbed him, after which he began to attack men who tried to stop him. During the attack, a woman around 35 years old was hit. He also detonated an improvised explosive device.

On June 24, a conflict occurred between several local residents in the Dagestani village of Tarki, during which one of the participants shot a 21-year-old opponent with a traumatic pistol and injured him. According to the investigation, after some time, the conflict continued. Two more participants received gunshot wounds, one died on the spot, and another was taken to a medical facility.

Earlier, in the first quarter of 2026, seven people died and seven were injured. A year ago, in the second quarter of 2025, fourteen died and ten were injured.
