The Supreme Court of Dagestan ordered the owner to demolish at their own expense a six-story frame building constructed in Makhachkala without the necessary documentation.

The court on June 29 ordered the demolition of a six-story reinforced concrete frame that was erected in the Primorsky residential area.

The lawsuit for the demolition of the unauthorized construction was filed by the city administration, and the appellate court satisfied it, overturning the decision of the first instance court, which had previously denied the demolition of the object. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the owner began construction without permission and approved project documentation, and the object itself does not meet fire safety, construction, and sanitary standards, posing a threat to the life and health of citizens. It is also noted that it is practically impossible to complete the construction of the object, reports "Kommersant".

The judicial panel not only recognized the object as an unauthorized construction but also ordered the owner to demolish it at their own expense.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that during the flooding in Makhachkala on Aivazovsky Street, a three-story extension to the six-story building collapsed due to flooding. The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, stated that the flooding in the capital of the republic is related to the development of the coastal area of the Tarnairka River.
