The acting mayor's report on the inspection of the city's problem areas has sparked skepticism among residents of Kaspiysk.

Acting Mayor of Kaspiysk, Arsen Sherifov, reported on a citywide inspection to identify violations. Local residents, commenting on Sherifov's report on social media, called on him to address the problem of garbage collection, potholed roads, and greening streets and parks.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," Kaspiysk residents have repeatedly complained about water supply issues. They have also repeatedly complained about problems with garbage collection. Back in August 2021, residents noted that despite repeated complaints, many trash containers in Kaspiysk were overflowing, leading to the emergence of illegal dumps near them.

Acting (acting) head of Kaspiysk, Arsen Sherifov, conducted a tour of city locations as part of a commission aimed at identifying violations in the city's public amenities and sanitary conditions. The main issues noted during the inspection included garbage collection problems, poor road conditions, and illegal roadblocks, the Kaspiysk administration reported on its Tegram channel.

A video attached to the post shows Sherifov and other officials touring city locations, during which the acting mayor makes various comments.

A post about Arsen Sherifov touring city locations was published on June 18 in the Instagram* public page kaspiysk.24, which has about 81 thousand subscribers. As of 12:50 PM Moscow time on June 21, this post had 2,791 likes and 480 comments. Some of their authors expressed doubt about the effectiveness of the inspection.

"He didn't see any trash while he was deputy?" asked gusenovapatimat. "He didn't see any trash in the city before?" asked idris05061972.

"And when he was deputy, what did he do? Didn't he see any trash?" asked user kikianasco. "And when he was deputy, why didn't he detect it?" - wrote user ahmedaga3875.

"As deputy, he was apparently busy and remembered the city's problems," quipped leon75gas.

Some commentators called for time to be given to the acting head of Kaspiysk and expressed hope for changes.

"Let's give the man a chance to prove himself," noted user kaspiysk_today. "We have great hopes for the new mayor. We expect action, not promises," stated user dididi548.

Other users listed the city's current problems. "The city is facing a pressing issue with garbage collection, as well as with the clinic and hospital. One clinic and one hospital for a rapidly growing city is very little, please address this as well," noted dr_khadizhat.

"I hope they build a road to Lenin Street 90, otherwise it's simply ridiculous to see this in the city center. They've been promising to build a road for five years now. Every time I complain, they say, 'You're on the project starting next year.' And that next year never comes," wrote raisa8022.

"I hope the problem with garbage and overgrown grass and reeds gets resolved," pointed out kurbanova_kamilla.

"Check the city park; the trees are drying out. The dry grass hasn't been cleared. And And so on. Everyone knows that trees are the city's "lungs." We need to preserve what we have. Ideally, we'd green the city. Plant more trees and flowers. But we tend to build another store wherever there's free space," emphasized kaspiysk_amina_.
