Krasnodar residents held a protest demanding that street flooding be eliminated.

Residents of the 9th Kilometer microdistrict in Krasnodar held a protest demanding a visit from the city's mayor. They complained that utility services were not pumping water from streets flooded after heavy rain.

According to the "Caucasian Knot" newspaper, some streets in Krasnodar were flooded after heavy rainfall. Residents attributed this to inoperative storm drains. On June 14, they criticized officials and demanded that the authorities pay more attention to the city's problems. Water has been standing on the streets of Krasnodar for several days, but the water has still not been pumped out, local residents complained on social media.

In the 9th kilometer microdistrict of Krasnodar, some streets were flooded as a result of heavy rain. Residents of Yaroslavskaya, Leningradskaya, and Volgogradskaya Streets took to the roadway, the "Typical Krasnodar" Telegram channel reported on June 14.

Photos from the protest site were published today by the "RusNews" Telegram channel, showing fences and garages with signs demanding the dismissal of Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.

Residents complained that there were no motor pumps, and that earlier arriving vehicles had failed to pump out anything and left. Krasnodar residents demanded the mayor and officials arrive, but only police and Yevgeny Belikov, head of the Prikubansky District, arrived, the "Krasnodar | Teletype" Telegram channel reported on June 14.

The published video shows several dozen people standing in the street in water. They are chanting "[we demand] the administration." This video, posted on the Telegram channel "Krasnodar | Teletype," which has nearly 128,000 subscribers, had garnered approximately 7,600 views and 18 comments as of 12:30 PM Moscow time on June 15. Most of the comments expressed support for Krasnodar residents.

As of 12:30 PM Moscow time on June 15, the Krasnodar and Krasnodar Krai administration websites have no comments regarding local residents' complaints about the lack of motor pumps.

As a reminder, authorities previously reported that heavy rainfall in Krasnodar Krai resulted in flooding in three municipalities – Labinsk, Krasnodar, and the Kalininsky District. "Assessment commissions are already working in these three municipalities, recording the damage. No evacuation was required," the Kuban task force reported on its Telegram channel on June 14.

Due to the threat of flooding in the region, a state of emergency is in effect in the Krymsky District, in the Kievskoye, Yuzhnoye, and Keslerovsky rural settlements, and in Troitskoye, where there is a risk of overflowing water on the Afipsky discharge canal, as well as in the Slavyansky District, the statement said.
