Divers found no fuel oil on the seabed near Tuapse's Central Beach.

No petroleum fractions were found on the seabed near the Central Beach of Tuapse, authorities reported. However, small fractions of fuel oil were recorded near the Vesna Beach.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", booms covered in fuel oil washed up on Primorsky Beach in Tuapse, and the beach of the former Vesna boarding house has not been cleared of fuel oil, despite the opening of the resort season announced by authorities, volunteers reported on May 31. On the beaches of the Tuapse village of Tyumensky, they are installing fuel oil nets. Despite the official opening of the resort season, many beaches in the Tuapse district are not ready for safe recreation: the storm washed ashore with a large amount of debris and complicated the cleanup of oil spills, according to local residents, activists, and environmentalists.

Specialists from the Sochi and Tuapse Kuban-SPAS teams conducted a survey of the bottom water for oil spills. The beach area was divided into sections and thoroughly examined by divers. The work was carried out in several stages, beginning on May 7. The total area surveyed was more than 30,000 square meters, the Tuapse Municipal District administration reported today on its website.

"Based on the survey results, no petroleum fractions were found on the seabed," the statement read.

Meanwhile, reports of emissions in the Tuapse area continue to come in. On June 4, a video from a beach near Vesna was published on the Telegram channel "My Tuapse." "The situation on the beach, towards Vesna. Fuel oil is found on the rocks, the water is clean but cool," the video description reads.
