A fighter from Kabardino-Balkaria was killed in Ukraine.

Sergeant Dmitry Drobot was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 399 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by Caucasian Knot, by May 28, authorities and security forces had officially recognized at least 398 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria as killed.

Dmitry Drobot was killed in a military operation, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation branch in Kabardino-Balkaria announced, reporting on the opening of a memorial wall in Prokhladny.

Drobot was born on March 1, 1998, and was killed in May 2025. The foundation's statement did not provide details about the soldier's biography or death.

Thus, at least 399 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 386 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

At the end of May, the "Defenders of the Fatherland" foundation reported that Alexander Drobitko and Viktor Daalov were killed in the SVO zone.
