Rasul Ibragimov's preventive measure has been changed

The court released former Minister of Labor and Social Development Rasul Ibragimov, accused of embezzlement, to house arrest.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on April 9, 2021, it became known that the acting head of the Dagestan Ministry of Tourism, Rasul Ibragimov, was accused of creating a criminal organization and fraudulent use of social benefits while serving as the region's Minister of Labor and Social Development. On September 29, 2021, the director of the integrated social services center for the Kayakent district was arrested. He was accused, along with Ibragimov, of embezzling social benefits. In March 2022, investigators reported the arrest of one employee and one former employee of the Dagestan Ministry of Labor, as well as the directors of integrated social services centers in Makhachkala and Derbent, the Kazbekovsky, Gergebilsky, Charodinsky, and Laksky districts, and the deputy director of the Kizilyurt district center. In August 2024, Ibragimov's case went to court.

The pretrial detention measure for former Dagestan Minister of Labor and Social Development Rasul Ibragimov has been changed. The Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala made this decision, Shamil Khadulaev, Chairman of the Republic's Public Monitoring Commission, announced on his Telegram channel on May 25.

According to Khadulaev, Ibragimov has been transferred to house arrest; prior to this, he had been held in Makhachkala's Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 since April 2021.
