Five people were killed and four were wounded in armed and terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus in the third quarter of 2025.

At least nine people were injured in armed and terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus from July 1 to September 30, 2025. Five were killed and four were wounded. These are the results of the "Caucasian Knot" calculations based on its own materials and information from open sources.

On July 4, a traffic police patrol stopped a taxi that ran a red light. A young man jumped out of the car with a knife in his hand and attacked one of the officers. The second officer shot the attacker in the leg, who fell, then jumped up and tried to stab the second officer. Later, sources reported that one attacker was shot dead, and the second managed to escape. Later, according to sources, he was detained. The police officer injured in the attack in Nalchik was placed in the intensive care unit after surgery in extremely serious condition. According to doctors, he received about 12 stab wounds.

On July 13, two people were wounded during a shootout between Ingush religious leaders. The incident was caused by a conflict on social media. Two victims each sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were hospitalized in the intensive care unit. On August 4, the FSB reported the thwarting of a terrorist attack in Kabardino-Balkaria. Three suspected militants were killed during their arrest. According to security forces, the victims were followers of a terrorist organization banned in Russia and were planning an attack on law enforcement officers in the republic.

On August 14, Judge Vasily Vetlugin was shot dead with a Saiga hunting rifle. News of the murder of a federal judge in Kamyshin, Volgograd Region, has emerged. According to sources connected to the security forces, the judge was shot on Sovetskaya Street near the city courthouse, after which the killer stabbed him and mutilated his body. Some sources claim the suspect is a combat veteran and the attack was personal.

No casualties or injuries were recorded in September.
