Over 3000 demand from ICRF to investigate Seda Suleimanova’s case

More than 3000 applications have been sent to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) demanding that the disappearance case of Seda Suleimanova, a Chechen native, be investigated under the federal control. Seda's friend continues seeking justice for her, although she is almost certain that the girl is dead.

The authors of more than 3000 appeals to the ICRF have demanded that Seda Suleimanova’s case be taken under federal control and that what happened her be efficiently investigated, the SK SOS Crisis Group* has reported.

"Last time, during a similar campaign, more than 2000 appeals were collected; and after that the ICRF opened a criminal case," the Group's Telegram channel has noted.

In the course of a parallel campaign to collect signatures to an appeal to the Presidential Administration, 2500 physical signatures have been collected, human rights defenders have added.

Seda's friend Elena Patyaeva, who initiated this signature collection, has reported today that 2506 physical signatures have been collected in Russia for an appeal to the Presidential Administration. "This does not include those collected abroad, we will add them a little later," she wrote in the Telegram channel "Where is Seda?" According to the statistics published there, more than a thousand signatures were collected in Moscow, and over 600 in Saint Petersburg.

Elena Patyaeva is almost certain that her friend was killed, but she does not plan to abandon the campaign she started, including for the sake of other Caucasian girls. At the same time, she has noted that she, like other Seda’s friends, "wants to believe that Seda is alive."

"To be objective, the probability that Seda was killed is 90 percent. A year and a half has already passed. The story has become very loud, and if she were alive, officials would have recorded a video with her and stated that everyone around was lying," Elena believes.
