Police reports about prophylactic talks with participants in Navalny's commemoration

Policemen have conducted prophylactic talks with 14 residents of Vladikavkaz, who, in memory of Alexei Navalny, tried to lay flowers at the memorial to victims of political repressions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after Navalny's death, Russian townspeople, including from Southern Russia, were persecuted for attempting to commemorate victims of repressions. Thus, at least seven people were detained in Taganrog. In Stavropol, activists reported that dozens were taken to police stations.

After Navalny's death, 14 residents of Vladikavkaz tried to lay flowers at the monument to victims of political repressions erected in Turgenevsky Park, a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed. The police held prophylactic talks with these people and "issued warnings against violating the legislation of the Russian Federation regarding the holding of unauthorized public events," the "Osnova" outlet has informed.

Also, a source from the local MIA has stated that "a citizen who had nothing to do with the republic tried to organize a memorial event in Vladikavkaz," the ASTRA reports.
