Residents of Dagestani village of Mutsalaul report about raids by law enforcers

Law enforcers have cordoned off the village of Mutsalaul in the Khasavyurt District and visit houses with checks. This has been reported by local residents. The police and FSB officers are searching the village for illegal weapons and drugs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) explains.

The law enforcers have blocked the exits from the village, patrol the streets, visit every house, and check the data of the villagers, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reports.

The police department of the Khasavyurt District has explained that planned activities are being carried out in the village of Mutsalaul, since the village is “not calm.”

“Preventive measures are being taken to detect illegal trafficking in firearms and drugs, as well as violations of migration registration,” the Dagestani MIA reports in it Telegram channel.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on May 22, 2020, six persons were killed in a shootout with the police and a law enforcer was injured in a forest between the villages of Goksuv and Mutsalaul. The killed suspects were connected with the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”) and were plotting terror acts, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) reported.
