Solidarity picket with Navalny** turns into fine imposed on Makhachkala resident

The court has fined Ibragim Parkuev, a resident of Makhachkala, by 2000 roubles for disobeying policemen at his solo picket held on Alexei Navalny**'s birthday. Parkuev has pleaded guilty under law enforcers' pressure, a source has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 4, a local resident, Ibragim Parkuev, was detained in Makhachkala after he went out to a solo picket with a poster "Happy birthday, Alexei!"

On June 4, the birthday of Alexei Navalny**, solo pickets were held in many Russian cities, including Volgograd, Krasnodar, Makhachkala and Sochi. In Krasnodar, three activists who held solo pickets and the man who made photos of them were fined.

According to the court, Parkuev "loudly used foul language, waved his arms, behaved aggressively," and “did not react to policemen's demands to stop illegal actions and tried to hide," after which physical force was used against him, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project writes.

In court, Parkuev has pleaded guilty. According to the source, this happened "under law enforcers' physical and moral pressure."
