Rights defenders and bloggers argue about Kadyrov's role in staging deaths of critics of Chechen authorities

In his comment on the article by Elena Milashina, in which she stated that Tumso and Khasan Khalitov were materially interested in staging their deaths on the order of Chechen authorities, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, has objected that Elena had failed to present any proofs that the intermediary was associated with Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 16, the Chechen blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, who lives in Europe, stated that he had staged proofs of an assassination attempt on him after he learned bout of the impending attack. He has explained that he had learned about the plotted assassination attempt ordered by Chechen authorities, and decided to deceive the customers with the help of an intermediary. At the same time, Tumso did not specify whether he took money from the intermediaries between him and the failed killers. His opponents pointed out that the topic of money in this story hurts the blogger's reputation; and the scam itself led to discord among Kadyrov's critics.

In an article by the "Novaya Gazeta. Europe", Elena Milashina claims that the first person to stage an assassination attempt was the blogger Khasan Khalitov on the order of Bashir Albogachiev, "a Kadyrov's intermediary living in Austria"; now, Khalitov is kept in a Turkish migration prison. Besides, Elena has noted that many Chechen bloggers knew that the assassination attempt was staged, but they supported Khalitov's version.

According to her story, when Bashir Albogachiev turned to Abdurakhmanov, the latter was aware of Khalitov's story. The journalist cites the amounts that, according to her version, the two bloggers received in cryptocurrency for staging their deaths.

The accusations that Khalitov and Abdurakhmanov "got sold out to Kadyrov people" are ungrounded, said Islam Belokiev, a Chechen oppositionist, who is quoted by the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project.
