Tickets to circus instead firewood for KChR woman outrage social network users

Users of the "VKontakte" social network have sharply criticized officials after the complaint from a resident of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), who had asked local authorities for firewood, but received tickets to the circus instead.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 19, a video appeal was posted by Irina Nikiforyak, the wife of a mobilized man, who stated that district authorities had promised to help her with firewood, but gave her two tickets to the circus.

On April 20, the Urupsky District Administration assured that firewood would be delivered to the family of Irina Nikiforyak within three days, and noted that tickets to the circus were provided to all the families of mobilized men in the village of Pregradnaya.

Commentators on the "VKontakte" social network have unanimously criticized the officials, believing that they had deceived Irina Nikiforyak.

"That's right, why has a person need for firewood; it's better to go to the circus and laugh there; it'll be warmer from laughter," the user Elena Kavkaz wrote, in particular.

"Shame on local authorities," said Azamat Kumukov. "It's disgrace! Have they no conscience at all?" the user Olga Zakharova has exclaimed.

"[The official] should be sent to war; let him go there with his tickets and laugh there," the user Irma Sergeevna has expressed her opinion.
