Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov reveals details of scam with attempt on his life

In late 2022, the oppositional Chechen blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, became aware of the impending assassination attempt ordered by Chechen authorities. According to his story, he decided to deceive the perpetrators and customers and took part in staging the evidence of a successful assassination attempt, which is why he stopped all his public activities for several months.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 22, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, who criticizes Ramzan Kadyrov, announced on his YouTube channel that he resumed his activities. At the same time, he did not explain his silence for 3.5 months. Many social media users expressed the opinion that Abdurakhmanov used information about his death for self-promotion.

According to Abdurakhmanov, at the end of 2022, "a certain man" contacted him and said that a "very large order" was received on the blogger. Those who took the order contacted the above man asking to help them. "And he offers me to cheat them all by filming a staged video of my assassination," the blogger has explained.

He has added that he had no risk, since there was "no direct contact with the people who could cause harm." "As a result, we filmed this prank, and sent the clip to the natives of Ingushetia, who had taken the order," Tumso continued.

According to his version, those who went to the customers with the video clip were convinced that he had been killed.

Then Abdurakhmanov was offered to film a video of him lying in the morgue. He refused, saying that "this was already too much", but he was ready to star in a video to prove that he was at hospital in a coma. The blogger organized the filming of such a video. Then, in about a week Tumso resumed his activities.
