Authorities confirm deaths in Ukraine of at least 650 natives of NCFD and SFD

Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, at least 653 residents of the southern regions of Russia have been officially confirmed perished, including 439 natives of Northern Caucasus and 214 residents of the Southern Federal District. Most of the dead were natives of Dagestan.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 25, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported about 1351 perished and 3825 wounded. Since that time, the Russian MoD has not announced any data on the number of deaths, but the deaths of compatriots are regularly reported by the authorities of regions and municipalities.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, the authorities of the regions and municipalities of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and the Southern Federal District (SFD) have reported about at least 653 compatriots perished in Ukraine.

The above data include officially confirmed deaths in Ukraine of at least 439 residents of the North-Caucasian Federal District, of which 204 were natives of Dagestan, whose deaths were reported by the regional authorities. Officials at various levels also reported about the deaths of 92 natives of North Ossetia, 55 fighters from the Stavropol Territory, 39 natives of Kabardino-Balkaria, 22 residents of Chechnya, and 22 natives of Ingushetia, as well as five residents of Karachay-Cherkessia.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, the authorities of the regions and municipalities of the Southern Federal District have reported about the deaths of at least 214 people. So, representatives of the authorities in the Volgograd Region confirmed the information about 85 perished natives of the region, in the Krasnodar Territory – 43 perished natives, in the Astrakhan Region – 37, and in the Rostov Region – 34. In addition, it was officially confirmed that eight natives of Adygea and seven fighters from Kalmykia perished in the special military operation.
