Relatives of perished militaries demand to bring Pashinyan to responsibility

In Yerevan, relatives of militaries who perished during the autumn war in 2020 held an action with the demand to bring Nikol Pashinyan to responsibility. The participants of the action do not put forward any political demands, but they only insist that the Prime Minister of Armenia be brought to responsibility for the deaths of the militaries.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 13, while delivering a speech in the parliament, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he could have avoided casualties in the 2020 autumn war. “Having surrendered the territories, I might have been able to save thousands of lives. By refusing to do that, I actually became the culprit in the deaths of thousands of people,” Nikol Pashinyan stated.

Relatives of the militaries killed in the autumn war of 2020 came out to the protest action in Charles Aznavour Square in Yerevan. In their hands, the participants of the action were holding portraits of the perished militaries. The protestors demand to bring Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to responsibility for his statement in the parliament, the “Aysor.Am” reports today.

“It is no longer possible to remain silent, especially after his admission that the only difference would be that our guys would be alive,” said the protesters as quoted by the “Aysor.Am”.

Aida, a mother of Movses Sargsyan, who perished defending the city of Shushi, notes that the protesters do not put forward any political demands. “We demand to punish those responsible. We do not put forward any political demands,” emphasized the mother of Movses Sargsyan as quoted by the “News.Am”.

From Charles Aznavour Square in Yerevan, the relatives of the perished militaries marched towards the building of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia.
