Workers start repairing a gas pipeline from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh

On the territory controlled by Azerbaijan, workers have begun repairing the Shushi-Zariflu gas pipeline, due to the damage to which the gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh had been stopped earlier, the authorities of the unrecognized republic reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on the night of March 8, an accident occurred at the section of the Shushi-Zariflu gas pipeline, due to which the gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh was cut off. On March 10, the Ombudsperson of Nagorno-Karabakh reported about humanitarian problems arising because of a three-day lack of gas supply.

The repair of the Shushi-Zariflu gas pipeline has begun on the territory controlled by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, the information headquarters of Nagorno-Karabakh reports. “Thanks to the negotiations, which have been ongoing since March 8 with the support of the government of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian peacekeepers, the work has begun on the repair of the gas pipeline,” the information headquarters of Nagorno-Karabakh reported as quoted by the “News.am” on March 16.

On March 16, the “Aysor.am” reported with reference to the information headquarters of Nagorno-Karabakh that gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh would be restored as soon as possible.
