Ibragim Yangulbaev put on wanted list in a criminal case

Ibragim Yangulbaev, a son of Zarema Musaeva, has been put on the federal wanted list in a criminal case on justification of terrorism, the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on January 20, the “Committee Against Torture”* announced that Zarema Musaeva, a spouse of retired federal judge Saidi Yangulbaev, was unconsciously taken away from her Nizhny Novgorod apartment in cars bearing state registration numbers with region code corresponded to Chechnya. On January 21, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed that the woman had been taken to Grozny and said that the Yangulbaev family faced a place “in prison or underground.” On January 28, the newspaper “Novaya Gazeta” reported a story of the conflict between the Kadyrov and the Yangulbaev families and wrote that the leader of Chechnya considered the Yangulbaev family among his enemies after Ibragim Yangublaev was detained for creating a public page on the “VKontakte” social media outlet and subjected to torture, including at the Ramzan Kadyrov’s residence, where the leader of Chechnya declared a blood feud against him.

Today, the Chechen MIA has reported on its Instagram page that a judge of the Visaitovsky District Court of Grozny has pronounced a pre-trial restriction measure in the form of arrest against Ibragim Saidaevich Yangulbaev.

“Ibragim Saidaevich Yangulbaev has been put on the federal wanted list in the criminal case previously instituted under Article 205.2 of Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Russia,” the Chechen MIA reports.

* The “Committee Against Torture” (CaT) was included by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) of Russia in the register of NCOs-foreign agents in 2015. In this regard, leaders liquidated the organization and created a new legal entity: the “Committee for the Prevention of Torture”, which was also included in the list of foreign agents, and the organization was closed. At present, the “Committee Against Torture” operates as an unregistered public association.
